Instructor Bio's

Amy has been fascinated with the study and performance of various stylistic forms in dance since she was a young child, earning a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts in the field. As a freelance performer over the past ten years, her aesthetic sensibilities and advanced technical training has landed her the opportunity to work with many national dance artists and companies. She has been teaching dance in Higher Education dance programs for the past fifteen years and is passionate about quality arts education. Amy recently relocated to the Midwest from California, where she has spent the past decade. She founded Fresno's professional modern and aerial company, Fresno Dance Collective (501c3), in early 2010 where she created and produced six Top 20 Cultural Arts Events (The Fresno Bee), designed and taught dance curriculum for incarcerated women through Arts in Corrections, and still serves as executive director. Through her organization, Amy established Fresno's premier aerial arts training program in Fresno, and directed the program for the past eight years; she holds four aerial arts certifications. "She is at heart a collaborator, someone constantly seeking out connections between other people and arts organizations. Call it energy, sass, gravitas, charisma — it’s not necessarily something you can put into words. How about force of nature?" (Munro Review)

Amy teaches weekly Aerial Hammock (for kids, tweens, and adults) and Pilates classes at Spiral Space.

Heather sought out yoga to be kinder to her body while still strengthening about 5 years ago. She fell in love with the shapes you could make with your whole being. Heather  has been teaching for a year & a half all over Racine. Heather loves teaching a faster, creative & unexpected flow, giving her students strength, sweat & a little zen with each class. Heather believes your mat can become a retreat from the everyday, giving yourself moments to breathe & feel your body.

Heather is a 200 HR RYT with Yoga Alliance.

Keith has been training in traditional Martial Arts for 30 years, beginning his studies when he was 8 years old. Keith has trained with some of the most well accomplished Masters of Martial Arts and has traveled overseas to Asia numerous times to enhance his training.  Before going to school for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Keith owned a Martial Arts Dojang in Madison, WI and has over 20 years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching Traditional Korean Martial Arts, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong Keith has also run Woman’s Self Defense Seminars all over the Midwest.

Keith began training in Tai Chi when he was in his early 20’s because of problems with an auto-immune condition that caused debilitating arthritis.  Keith has since completely recovered from his condition due to regular Tai Chi practice, acupuncture and a healthy lifestyle.  He currently takes no prescription or over the counter drugs to manage a condition that he was once told would put him in a wheel chair.  You can be assured that Keith takes his practice of Tai Chi and its instruction very seriously while still making it extremely fun to learn.
